The Wheel Specialist Fareham is raising money for a cancer research charity organisation.
Franchisees Sarah and Vernon Kerr of The Wheel Specialist Fareham are going to give 10 per cent of their takings on any full set of new wheels at The Wheel Specialist to Cancer Research UK for a week.
Mrs. Kerr plans on sporting pink wheels on her own Mercedes for the period, and has decorated it with pink ribbons, the charity’s colour and logo.
Mrs. Kerr said: “I’ve known my best friend Nicki since we were babies, and she’s had to have several lumps removed – so has her sister. Their mother died two years ago of breast cancer as well and she had to have a mastectomy two years before that. Unfortunately it’s in their family. If I can do something to help the cause I will, and with the business, I can.”
Mrs. Kerr has already done the Moon Walk for the cause earlier this year and was trying to think of other ways to help them when she came up with this idea.
The Wheel Specialist Fareham is based at Unit 16, The IO Centre in Stephenson Road, at Segensworth. A set of wheels can typically cost about £350.
