The decision to buy a franchise wasn’t taken lightly. We had moved into the area knowing very little about business or the local people, so for us it was a very big step to take.

We wanted something that we’d enjoy doing, plus it had to fit our budget. Cleaning Doctor did all that. They knew everything. We met our local franchise partners David Gamble Snr. and David Gamble Jnr. During our initial meetings, we could clearly see that there was a detailed action plan that could be activated the minute we were trained.

After leasing a new vehicle, organized by Head Office, and having it sign written, we trained for a week on the systems, products and marketing with Willie Little, our franchisor and mentor. The team at Head Office organized everything for us. In addition, we had ‘hands-on’ work experience with Ann Barr, who owns and operates the Home Cleaning Services in the territory adjacent to our own. Then we were off and running ourselves. Cleaning Doctor’s marketing strategies had the phone ringing right away!

We’re now at the end of our first month, and the response has been fantastic. In that short space of time, we have 20% of our available appointments already fully booked with regular weekly clients. In addition, we got spring cleans, and end of tenancy cleans as well.
