What Do We Do?

Billions of pounds are spent every year in disposing of unwanted items and rubbish from households and businesses throughout the UK. Our business model is built around helping to solve the problem of what to do with the rubbish.

As fully licensed Waste Carriers we aim to recycle as much as we can, of the goods that we collect. This can involve us selling items such as metal, wood or unwanted furniture or potentially donating items to charity shops or other good causes. Currently, we recycle around 70% of what we collect which is not only good for the environment overall but benefits your local community.

Junk Hunters Franchise Model

Franchisees can get their businesses up and running by adopting several franchise models on offer. Namely;

Operator Model – Where, as well as owning and managing the business you are actively operating on the truck either as the driver or the ‘2nd man’

Management Model –, as the title suggests, your role will be to manage the business and you will employ others to carry out the pick-ups and recycling whilst you concentrate on business development.

Our specially adapted and fully liveried trucks also come in two sizes as follows;

3.5 tonne – which can be driven under a normal car licence.

6.5 tonne which will require you to have a C1 licence (Training to gain your C1 Licence is included in your launch package)

A Junk Hunters franchisee can operate from a home office, keeping your overheads down. You will need secure parking for your vehicle.

As a Junk Hunters franchisee, you have the option to remain at a single vehicle or, with our support, build your business to a multi-truck operation generating significant levels of turnover and profitability.

Junk Hunters Launch Package

Both our 3.5 and 6.5-tonne trucks are available on a leased basis with a competitive monthly payment. Alternatively, should your initial investment be sufficient, your truck could be purchased outright. All our vehicles are highly branded providing an excellent form of mobile marketing for your Junk Hunters business.

Training & Support

We recognise that the provision of training and ongoing support from your franchisor, are two major reasons why you would opt to operate under a franchise model, as opposed to starting your own business. You do not need any prior knowledge of our industry as our initial and ongoing training will give you both the knowledge and confidence to run your business. We take our commitment to providing training and support very seriously and we recognise that our level of success is linked to how well we train and support our franchisees.

Training will take place at our HO as well as your territory. It will be a mixture of classroom-based training, where you will become familiar with our processes and procedures, including our dedicated management system which will manage all your collection bookings, as well as practical training, working on a truck with an experienced team.
