Suit the City offers an exclusive personal service to men and women, providing high quality, made-to-measure suits and separates utilising the best of British, European and international fabrics at a fraction of the prices charged by Savile Row tailors. We offer men and women over 200 design options for suits, trousers, skirts, dresses, shirts and blouses, morning or evening wear, overcoats, waistcoats and hacking jackets. Clients choose bespoke detailing and styling, which can be traditional or contemporary and unique to them.
Suit the City has been franchising since 2012 and is currently offering territories across the UK. The company is looking for ambitious, driven and motivated people to become franchisees, who will work as individuals or in partnerships. Previous tailoring experience is not required. Initially, you will be offered a Suit the City franchise in either menswear or womenswear. At a later date when you are successfully running the one you have purchased, you may have the option to purchase the other one with an additional fee to cover extra training and further master models.
A franchisee’s day varies widely. It will include setting up client appointments; meeting, measuring and advising clients; order processing; and completing deliveries. Promotion of the service is a major part of the business, as most business comes from referrals and recommendations. This may include attending networking and social events, but can also include using social media, local advertising, editorials and newsletters. Keeping the database up to date is also an important part of the day.
Our comprehensive training package includes everything that is needed to start and run your business. Regular training sessions will be held at our headquarters covering: Measuring techniques Order processing Sales & service Fabrics, style and colour training Bookkeeping and database Following this, one of Suit the City’s directors will shadow and advise you throughout all sales appointments until you are fully able to measure without assistance.
