Originally established in 1986, The Hot Sausage Company has become the brand leader in street food in the UK.

The company started in the city of Cambridge where company founder Michael Moran began selling sausages to members of the public. This was so successful that he immediately saw the potential to develop this business through franchising. The first two franchises were established within the first year with more soon to follow.

Over the last 32 years, we have continued to develop the brand and have established Hot Sausage Company franchises across the country.

The company has developed a delicious range of sausages made exclusively to our own recipes which are served in freshly baked rolls with a variety of sauces and relishes.

We have always been committed to providing excellent products with the highest levels of customer service and an insistence that the visual image of the barrow, the food and the uniform conform to the iconic branding of the company.

Training

As part of your new franchise, we include an intensive in-house training package.

In the initial training, you will spend a few days with us at head office learning some of the fundamentals of our business, and gaining the knowledge of how to operate as a Hot Sausage Company franchisee.

You will receive a copy of our operations manual that covers all aspects of the day to day operation and includes the company’s hygiene policy and HACCP. You will be given advice on a variety of topics such as marketing, financial management, stock control and customer service.

Once the office training has been completed, you will start two weeks training on site with one of our company directors or franchisees. This is a proven way for you learn the business and develop the skills you require to offer an excellent service.

Investment

We are looking for the right individual to take on this business. We need you to be driven and focused. If you are interested we would like to meet with you and discuss figures in person.

The business works by renting one of our iconic Victorian barrows which includes a trailer. By renting this equipment to you, we can ensure that the equipment is maintained to the highest standards which protects the brand image throughout the country.

This franchise opportunity already has warehousing and staff in place so you can hit the ground running with your new business.

There is a 10% fixed rate commission on all sales net of VAT. This provides you with the privilege of trading with a proven brand, plus avail of support and advice from the skills and expertise developed over thirty years of operating successful street food businesses.
