One of the UK’s leading healthcare franchises, Kare Plus has appointed Andy Pitt, former National Franchise Manager for McDonalds and bfa board member, as their new Franchising Manager.
Andy brings over ten years’ experience in franchising to Kare Plus and will be responsible for driving recruitment for the rapidly growing franchise as well as managing its brand reputation within the industry.
“I worked for McDonalds for twenty-two years in total,” Andy explains. “I started out as a store manager, before my role was expanded to supporting franchisees on a day-to-day basis, so I have a perspective from both sides of the fence. I’m delighted to be joining the team at Kare Plus and becoming part of a progressive business with a strong brand. As the franchise continues to grow and move forward, it is important that there is the necessary support in place both for the franchisees and for the franchise management team, and I’m ready for the new challenge.”
During Andy’s time as National Franchise Manager at McDonalds the company won the Venture Marketing Award for Advertising, as well as scooping both the prestigious bfa Franchisee of the Year and Franchisor of the Year titles.
Commenting on Andy’s appointment, Kare Plus Managing Director Steve Welsh said, “We’re delighted to welcome on board someone of Andy’s calibre and track record at this exciting time for Kare Plus. Over the coming months we will be looking to expand the franchise network significantly in the light of several major new national account gains and will be making substantial investment in strengthening the franchisee support function. Andy has an important role to play in achieving both these key ambitions going forward.”
