Leading greeting card publisher Card Connection has announced a former retail customer, Dilip Sanghani, has become the company’s new franchisee for Manchester and Salford. Dilip will now deliver Card Connection’s extensive range of high quality greetings cards and accessories to around 220 retailers in his territory.
“I worked in an off licence for seven years and knew about Card Connection as the local franchise used to merchandise our greetings cards,” explains Dilip. “I had been considering franchising so when he mentioned he was selling up in order to move closer to his family, I jumped at the chance!
“I really like the Card Connection product range,” confirms Dilip. “It always sold well in the off licence so I knew the franchise was a viable opportunity for me to run my own business. Also being home based is an advantage, as my family can help me the picking and packing of the greetings cards ready for delivery.
“Card Connection’s training at head office in Farnham, Surrey has been very thorough,” continues Dilip. “However, I am now looking forward to the 4-5 week handover so I can get to know my new retail customers and learn about the running of the franchise from a practical point of view. I am excited about the future and developing my franchise with Card Connection’s help.”
