The British Franchise Exhibition is the only franchise exhibition in the north to be supported by the British Franchise Association and only allows franchise companies that have met the Association’s code of ethics to exhibit.

Senior Card Connection staff and franchisees will be on booth R120 to discuss the franchise career opportunities available at Card Connection.

“We are keen to explain to prospective franchisees how our business has grown over the past 21 years and how new franchisees can become part of our success, running a business which earns money from day one, in a thriving and appealing sector,” explains Michael Johnson, managing director, Card Connection. “We do have several franchise re-sale opportunities in the North including: Manchester/Salford, Macclesfield/Buxton, Liverpool, Bradford/Halifax, Southport/Wigan and we will be happy to talk through the benefits of purchasing an existing, re-sale franchise business to any interested, prospective franchisees.

“However, probably the best way for people to learn about the award winning opportunity that Card Connection offers, is to talk to our existing franchisees,” continues Johnson. “Therefore, for the first time, we have invited some of our local franchisees to come to the exhibition to be on-hand to talk about what it’s really like to be a Card Connection franchisee.”

Card Connection franchisees place greeting cards on a consignment basis in retail outlets. Cards and display equipment are supplied on ‘free loan’ to retailers and they only pay for what they sell. The award winning merchandising service has grown in popularity over the years and Card Connection franchisees now distribute greeting cards to around 14,000 outlets through its network of around 70 UK franchisees.

Card Connection is part of UK Greetings, which is a subsidiary of the largest publicly owned greeting card publisher in the world and has limited vacancies for franchisees that are keen to run an expanding business. Suitable candidates would ideally have some management experience as, once established, and depending on the size of the territory, they could be expected to employ a small team, operate a small warehouse and have several liveried vans on the road

Since the franchise network in the UK is complete, the available opportunities now consist of acquiring an already-established territory from an existing franchisee. These vary in price according to their level of development, but start at £7k + Stock + Card Connection fee with earnings potential in excess of £50k per annum.

Card Connection has been a full member of the British Franchise Association since 1995 and has recently, once again successfully satisfied the BFA’s accreditation criteria as a full member.
