Caremark celebrates care awards success

The end of 2013 and the first half of 2014 have seen Caremark, the national home care provider, being nominated as a finalist in four different national awards within both the care industry and the franchising sector.

  • At the end of 2013, Michelle McGhee of Caremark (Newcastle) reached the national finals of the Great British Care Awards for the category of ‘Home Care Worker’ having won the North East region in October.
  • In late Spring, Julie Parsons, Scheme Manager of Caremark (Osmund Court) received notification she was a finalist with Laing & Buisson Independent Healthcare Awards in the category of ‘Extra Care Provider’.
  • The middle of May saw Charles Folkes, Managing Director of Caremark (Redcar & Cleveland) announced as a finalist with the bfa HSBC Franchisee of the Year awards in the category of ‘Olderpreneur Franchisee of the Year’.
  • Early June brought the news that Lynda Goldsmith, National Training Manager with Caremark Ltd had been nominated a finalist in the National Association for Safety & Health in Care Services in the category of ‘Learning & Training’.

The national care provider continues to build on its already solid reputation as a home care company. Offering professional, bespoke care and support services across the UK with over 3,400 care workers delivering in excess of 70,000 hours of care and support to vulnerable people, Caremark provides a valuable service to those who wish to remain living safely and independently at home.

Last year the company’s Buckinghamshire franchisee, Janis Anderson, Managing Director of Caremark (Aylesbury & Wycombe) scooped the two top British franchising awards , claiming the crown of both the bfa HSBC ‘Franchisee of the Year’ and ‘Female Franchisee of the Year’.

With finalists in four different award categories, the company is hoping to continue building on its success and claiming a few more wins in leading industry and care awards. Winners will be announced later in the year at their respective gala awards events.
