Below, we summarise all the latest developments at Charge Point. It has been a busy and productive month!
Charge Point takes on its first Franchisee – 4th Sept 2017
Charge Point, the UK’s first phone charging franchise, has taken on its very first franchisee. Laurence has taken on the Channel Islands territory, after spending the last 2 years looking for new business opportunities. With millions of mobile handsets in the UK, there is a constant need to charge mobile phones. With units being placed throughout the Channel Islands, both locals and tourists should never run out of charge. It’s an exciting time to be Charge Point franchisee, and we’re welcoming Laurence to the Charge Point family!
Charge Point attracts new Franchisee – 10th Sept 2017
What a great couple of weeks it’s been for Charge Point. After signing its first franchisee, they have now appointed their second franchise unit in Cardiff. Rory Giles, who already operates a successful vending machine business, was looking for something that was innovative and exciting, and saw the huge opportunity that the Charge Point charging units offered. With units being installed for free within businesses premises, the Charge Point units generate an income for the premises owner as well as the franchisee. And the save money because customers no longer use businesses electricity to charge up! Rory is going to be busy with the aim of making Charge point the number one phone charging units in Wales. Good luck Rory!
X marks the spot for the iPhone launch – 13th Sept 2017
With yesterday’s launch of the iPhone X, we’re reminded of the role that the mobile phone now plays in our lives. It is estimated that there are over 70 million mobile phones in the UK, and at least 30% of those phones need charging at any one point. With smartphones becoming the norm, the need for constant power is a reminder that battery technology still hasn’t caught up with the technology of the phone. Charge Point offers a secure charging platform that is often life saver to phone owners. The hassle of carrying a charging lead or even asking a barman or a waiter to charge the phone is not a practical solution for many people. Many restaurants, bars or pubs simply don’t want any responsibility for mobile phones that often cost upwards of £500, making Charge Point units even more critical for a modern business to have on their premises.
