In his continuing commitment to the franchise industry, Craig Brown, Managing Director of Norwich based Signs Express, has achieved the British Franchise Association (bfa) Qualified Franchise Professional (QFP) status.
The QFP is a formal recognition of professional knowledge and experience in franchising. It demonstrates that the recipient understands the complexities and best practice in franchising and has continually invested their time to develop their understanding.
Signs Express is the UK’s largest signs and graphics franchise and provides training and advice for its national network via its head office support team based in Norwich.
The core elective learning for the QFP qualification is a mixture of courses, events, seminars and forums provided by the British Franchise Association and companies accredited by the bfa. The QFP has been especially developed for people working within the franchise industry who want to demonstrate their experience, understanding and ethical approach to franchising.
Signs Express sales director, Tony Marsh, has also become increasingly involved in the bfa in recent years, culminating in his election to the board of directors this year.
As part of his remit, Tony sits on the quality and standards committee which makes recommendations on key elements of the association’s strategy and operation.
The bfa board of directors is made up of 11 Full Member franchisors; 2 Associate Member franchisors; 3 Affiliate Members (at least one being a legal representative); 3 franchisees; and the bfa director general.
Its remit is to ensure that the best support and representation for members in line with their needs and views.
