FASTSIGNS Sheffield and Chesterfield owner Paul Allison has teamed up with Abbeydale Tennis Club, to create sponsorship opportunities on their new dome
FASTSIGNS Sheffield and Chesterfield owner Paul Allison has teamed up with the Abbeydale Tennis Club, to serve up a sponsorship deal for its new dome.
The state-of-the-art air dome is the culmination of a £1.5 million redevelopment of the club in Abbeydale Road South, Sheffield.
FASTSIGNS® had produced much of its signage in the past and Paul was gearing up to do the honours for the dome over courts 3 and 4.
“Abbeydale asked me if I was interested in sponsorship and it sounded like a great idea,” said Paul, who has owned FASTSIGNS® Sheffield & Chesterfield since 1995.
“This fantastic new facility will be called the FASTSIGNS® Dome for the next 18 months. It’s great to see our name over the entrance at such a prominent club, and to support a local community venture.”
The dome houses two acrylic-surfaced hard courts, similar to the ones used in the US Open. It doubles the amount of indoor courts available.
The old outdoor courts have also received a facelift in the refurbishment. There’s a new clubhouse, improved changing rooms and a bar, café, roof terrace and function room.
Managing Director of the club, John Gledden, said: “The sponsorship of the new dome is great news and we want to thank FASTSIGNS for their continued support at the tennis club. It’s good to see a Sheffield business giving their backing to a local venue.
“We’re embarking on a new era at Abbeydale following the extensive redevelopment, and the dome will ensure that more people can play tennis at any point of the year.”
