High Flyers at Auditel

More high fliers join Auditel, the UK’s premier cost and purchase management franchise and a finalist in this year’s bfa/HSBC Franchisor of the Year Award.

Last month, eleven new management professionals joined Auditel from various backgrounds including IT, management consultancy, accounting, finance, manufacturing, graphic design and the public sector.

Auditel pioneered their service in 1994. The energy and communications markets were deregulated and UK businesses were suddenly faced with a myriad of suppliers and pricing structures to choose from. Over the last 16 years, the portfolio of expertise has grown to cover more than 80 areas, including water, waste, business consumables, HR, premises overheads, finance, and insurance. Now, Auditel has over 170 highly-trained specialists using their unique Total Cost of Purchase® model, and more than 3000 clients across the UK.

Among the new group of franchisees, Gail Clark, with an IT background, is partnering Stephen O’Donnell, who was involved in project and process improvement. Gail comments: “I believe in the business model and feel very comfortable with the Auditel culture. The whole proposition played to my previous skill set enabling me to take the plunge in running my own business. It was also important for me to have a network of colleagues available within a proven and well-respected brand.”

She adds: “The training was great and answered all my questions. I’m now much more confident with the process of acquiring clients. The knowledge of the head office training team was superb and they also made it good fun!”

Ex-NHS IT manager, Helen Spall remarked: “With no sales background, I was looking for something that would be easy to sell in the current market.” Echoing this belief, Mike Keig, who will be running the franchise with his wife Luisa, says: “Auditel offered a business model that is both open and straightforward, but above all, made me think that prospects would buy from me.”
