Home Instead CEO receives special recognition award

Leading home care franchise Home Instead is delighted to announce that their CEO, Martin Jones, received special recognition at the Best Franchise Awards held virtually on 10th February when he was named as this year’s recipient of the WorkBuzz Hero Award. Martin is only the second person to receive this honour.

The award was developed to recognise individuals who have had a lasting impact on their franchise network and their sector as a whole.

Each year Home Instead undertakes engagement and satisfaction surveys with their clients and CAREGivers. The findings help to shape the care service delivered to their clients as well as the support they deliver to franchise owners and their teams across the UK.

Against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic when the care sector faced huge pressure and their clients were isolating or shielding, Home Instead achieved their best ever client satisfaction scores and world class employee engagement scores last year.

CEO, Martin has played a key role in leading the business to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their teams and clients.

On making the award to Martin at the virtual awards ceremony, Steven Frost, CEO of WorkBuzz said, “It is without doubt that Martin’s expert leadership, foresight and commitment to the wellbeing of all Home Instead stakeholders has been a significant contributor to the exceptional survey results achieved by the company last year.

“97 per cent of Home Instead clients said they would recommend the company’s services and 98 per cent said their caregiver kept them safe during the pandemic.

“Home Instead also achieved employee engagement scores of 95 and 93 for key players and caregivers respectively – these are both world class scores.

“Martin’s commitment to improving the lives of older people beyond the Home Instead network is demonstrated through a range of voluntary appointments including chair of The Silver Line and Age UK trustee.

“As a member of the UKHCA and TSA boards, he is helping to bring innovation to the homecare sector whilst advocating quality homecare as the preferred care option. As a trustee of the CWC he is also championing the role of caregivers.”

Accepting the award, Martin said, “I am absolutely honoured to have been selected for this award. It is very humbling and particularly rewarding to receive it at this time.

“In a year when it was far from business as usual, the Home Instead franchise family has pulled together like at no time before. In doing so our amazing caregivers have been able to continue to deliver our person-centred, high quality care at scale; despite everything that the pandemic has thrown at us.”
