Rebecca Robyns, joint franchise owner of InXpress Hull, is founder of the charity EYESeeMe. Last year, InXpress revealed that EYESeeMe would be their chosen charity as part of their Gives Back programme. Franchisees have been raising and donating money and, this month, Rebecca flew back out to Thailand in order to find out more about the results of the months of donations.
“Whilst out in Thailand, I have been very busy in the office at Sarnelli House which is a home for disadvantaged children and was one of the homes that played a huge part in the exhibition we held last year. I have been adding up the numbers for 50 children to go to school however, I am delighted to report that we can now afford to help 71 children, exceeding our original target at the launch of the campaign! I will shortly be transferring the money in time for the start of the new term in May. I’m extremely proud of what we’ve achieved and would like to thank InXpress Head Office and the network for their support. It will mean so much to the children here!” explains Rebecca.
InXpress partnered with EYESeeMe in order to raise the funding needed to get 50 children in Thailand into full-time education and to fund them in their schooling until graduation. It’s a great cause and something that InXpress are proud to be backing. Since September, franchisees have been donating money through various charity events and donating a penny per shipment throughout the month of November, and it’s clear from these results that they have succeeded in their efforts. So many more children will benefit from an education and it will greatly impact their future. InXpress are proud to back Rebecca with this great cause and will continue to raise money to support even more children.
“These are such great results from the EYESeeMe campaign. In just a few months we’ve managed to raise enough money to help 71 children into full-time education! We’ve been so proud of the response from franchisees for Rebecca’s charity. They’ve all participated as much as possible by taking part in events. Craig Atkins from Reading is currently training for the Manchester marathon and is putting himself through the pain of sore legs every day. We’re looking forward to seeing more photos from Rebecca’s latest trip and hope even more children will benefit from our donations,” explains Melanie Spencer, Global Head of Marketing at InXpress.
