evin, who has recently taken redundancy from an oil company has this to say about his big decision:
“I know someone who is an Ed’s Operator quite close to where my new business is. She knew that for some time now I have been attracted to Ed’s as I could see her business flourishing and also that she had a really good lifestyle around it.
“When she heard that a nearby business might be for sale, she gave me a tip off and said she was happy to make the introductions if I really thought this was something I might want to pursue. To be honest, I really didn’t have to do too much soul searching to know that this was definitely the right thing for me to do and that I would really regret it if I didn’t jump at the opportunity.
“The introductions were made and I could see that the business for sale was a good one with loads of potential for further growth. I then went on to meet Ed himself and also went along to one of the Ed’s training sessions to see if I thought the fit was right – for me it was crystal clear that it was. I could see that the Operators were all really positive and highly motivated to run their own successful businesses.
“I could also see that the whole set up at Ed’s was very professional, even the training at RHS Wisley was high quality and inspirational. It was all such a breath of fresh air after the doom and gloom of the Corporate world and particularly the oil sector at the moment. I knew without a doubt that I was doing the right thing for me. Having made the decision, we moved forward.
“I thought such transactions would be difficult and drawn out but it has all run very smoothly and professionally. I am now all ready to go with taking my business forward. I know I’ll get all the support I need to help me to push for my goals.”
