A former business transformation consultant has achieved record coffee sales just 10 weeks after launching a mobile coffee van with the new Cafe2U Acceleration Package.

Tim Shaw took the plunge into an entirely new career, as a barista with his wife Kathie, after securing the mobile gourmet coffee franchise for West Reading. Tim, who previously worked for Capgemini travelling to clients throughout the UK, made the life-changing decision when the couple began training as foster carers.

Already becoming familiar faces to office workers in the Theale area, the husband and wife duo have served hundreds of gourmet coffees from their distinctive red van and are exceeding sales achieved by more established franchises, breaking Cafe2U records.

The new Cafe2U Acceleration Package fast tracks the business by up to three months, ensuring franchisees hit the ground running. The package includes a four week training and support program overseen by a personal franchise coach and franchisees are guaranteed an agreed income from day one.

Mr Shaw said: “The initial success of our Cafe2U business has been overwhelming and our sales are increasing week on week. It is a pleasure to be serving such a great product and our customers are always grateful for the caffeine pick-me-up to get them through the working day.

“I’ve spent my career helping clients improve their customer experiences and I am now able to apply my knowledge to my own business. It hasn’t taken long to build up a loyal customer base and we now stop at 26 businesses everyday ranging from small offices to business parks.

“My corporate lifestyle is already a distant memory and the fun I have running my Cafe2U business is a refreshing change.” He added.

In total Cafe2U now operates 54 custom built Cafe2U vans selling gourmet coffee and other snacks and food to tens of thousands of customers across the UK each week.

The Cafe2U franchises, including the new Acceleration Package, cost from £19,999 +vat. The custom built Cafe2U van costs a further £38,500 and can be purchased or leased subject to status.
