A PRINTING expert is putting his years of experience in the industry to good use with the launch of a brand new business, Recognition Express Warrington, specialising in branded goods and promotional products.
Alan Stones, 50, decided to launch his new business after working in the printing industry more than three decades, including running his own business producing everything from food cartons to leaflets. Alan’s knowledge and experience in the sector will be a huge help in making his new enterprise a success.
He said: “The printing industry has got increasingly tough over the last few years and I have been made redundant a few times. I was looking for something a bit more stable, so I decided to go down the franchising route.”
Recognition Express specialises in creating branded goods of every shape and description from pens and stationery to corporate clothing. The firm is one of the leaders in the field and has a network of franchises covering the whole of the UK.
Alan said: “I have worked in printing for 34 years so I know a lot about the industry. The kind of thing I will be doing with Recognition Express is similar but is also something completely new. “I looked at various franchises but I always kept coming back to Recognition Express because they offer a fantastic package. The training and support is great, as are the products.”
He added: “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. This is a big commitment and a big financial investment but I know I have made the right decision. It has been hectic setting up the business and I can’t wait to get started. I have already been out and about meeting a lot of companies just rely on the internet to sell their products but I am a great believer in getting out there and meeting the customers.
You can’t really understand your customers unless you speak to them face to face. That is what sets me apart from the competition.”
Alan added: “I am feeling really confident about the business because I know there is a lot of companies and organisations in Warrington. The town is one of those places where there is lots going on and there are plenty of potential customers.” A keen golfer and football fan, Alan will be pouring all of his energy and efforts into his new business in the coming months.
