Revive!’s ‘Young Pretender’ Seizes Outright BTCC Victory

Independent driver Andrew Jordan, sponsored by cosmetic vehicle repair specialist Revive!, claimed the 2013 British Touring Car Championships (BTCC) crown in a thrilling season finale at Brands Hatch on Sunday.

Jordan (24) of the Pirtek Racing Team began the race at the top of the drivers’ standings, 34 points ahead of his closest rival and previous champion Matt Neal. All eyes have been on Jordan, dubbed the ‘young pretender’, this weekend. He didn’t disappoint, out-performing works drivers from manufacturers’ teams in a nail-biting final race.

After claiming the BTCC independent drivers’ prize at the close of 2012, Jordan had his sight firmly set on the overall title. He performed consistently all season and has been widely regarded as a benchmark competitor by seasoned drivers.

Revive! has sponsored Jordan since 2011, soon after he joined the Pirtek Team. Mark Llewellyn, Managing Director of Revive!, says: “We always knew Andrew had something special and it was clear he would give the works drivers a run for their money this year. But today he has absolutely blown us away. His skill, determination and dedication are breath-taking. He has nerves of steel and it has been an absolute privilege to support him over the past two years. Corporate sponsorship is all about finding a good brand match and we couldn’t have hoped for better.”

Jordan’s debut BTCC season was in 2008 and he made BTCC history as the youngest ever driver to qualify on pole position. This season he has been driving a new generation touring car (NGTC) Honda Civic with a Neal Brown engine.

Revive! specialises in repairing minor scuffs and scrapes to vehicle bodywork and alloy wheels. It has the largest network of smart repairers in the UK and is the first to have ATA accredited technicians. The firm has worked hard to turn around the prevailing opinion of mobile cosmetic vehicle repairs. It works closely with the Institute of the Motor Industry to drive up standards within the smart repair industry and as a result has paved the way for smart repair to become a top quality alternative to bodyshops for minor vehicle damage.
