Entrepreneur of the Year at London Loves Excellence Awards – 2014

On 24th September hundreds gathered to London loves Excellence Awards held at London Marriott Hotel on Grosvenor Square. That night was a celebration of excellence and growth in business and proved that even during difficult times, businesses can succeed. The standard was astonishingly high this year and in many categories the esteemed judges had trouble picking a winner but, as always, in each category there was one who stood out.

That night Tony Goodwin, Founder & Chairman of Antal International, has been awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 where the global recruitment company was shortlisted among some highly successful UK businesses. 
 

Best UK Overseas Operation at Global Recruiter Awards – 2013 WINNER

Antal International has come top in the ‘Best UK Overseas Operation’ category at the Global Recruiter Industry Awards 2013

The ultimate winner of this award, according to the judges offered both strong staff support and evidence of social responsibility. Judges were impressed by a good use of local communities as well as the methodologies, associated training and shared business resources that simplified what could be an intimidating start up process.

BFA HSBC Franchisee of the Year Awards – 2012 Liz Dillon – FINALIST

The BFA held the 2012 BFA HSBC Franchisee of the Year Awards on Thursday 4th October in the NEC in Birmingham.

We are delighted that Liz Dillon was successful in reaching the Finals. The national awards highlight excellence within the sector and the ongoing commitment of those franchisees who set the standard for best practice in the industry.

Best Overseas Operations & Best APSCO Member of the Year – 2012 WINNER

Antal International wins “Best Overseas Operations” and “Best APSCo Member of the year” at the Asia Pacific Global Recruiter Awards 2012, beating off tough competition from other leading recruitment firms. The cream of the industry was gathered last night at the gorgeous Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore, after a 2-day conference.

Antal International won the ‘Best International Recruitment Agency’ category at the 2012, Recruiter Awards which is the leading awards programme for the recruitment sector. Antal beat off fierce competition to take the award, which was presented in recognition of the company’s ability to provide complete international recruitment solutions for many of the world’s most ambitious and demanding businesses.

This is the entry statement that gained us this prestigious award and really sums up the cross boarder activity taking place on a regular basis: As its entry states: “Only at Antal can you speak with a Swedish consultant in Spain to be referred onto an English-speaking person in Shanghai who, together with the local Chinese team, finds a Mandarin-speaking European with exceptional experience.”

In fact, that example is not rare for winning multi-national, multi-sector recruiter Antal International. In its entity, Antal demonstrated that it could set the international network to actually work together for the benefit of clients and candidates. For all its placements, an in-depth knowledge of the local market, culture and understanding of the required skills are paramount.

Antal was given the challenge of sourcing a candidate for a particularly hard-to-fill role in North Africa. The position was for a distribution account manager for a Dutch electronics, calibration and networks company. The niche skills for this role were in short supply on a global scale, but particularly uncommon in North Africa. To add to the complexity, the client required a candidate that was already based in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia or Lybia. And coupled with the uprisings taking place at the time in many Arab countries, this was a tough assignment.

Regardless of the challenges presented in this difficult brief including the unusual skill set, the location, language requirements and the social-political turmoil of the Arab Spring uprising, Antal was still able to source candidates, of which one was successful. With all the political and social unrest, Antal was still able to find the right person for the job.”

With a record number of entries and 12 categories to fill, entrants have had to work hard to impress the judges.
