As more and more businesses across the country choose it’seeze to provide them with a professionally designed website, it was necessary to employ yet another expert Designer at the it’seeze Head Office to manage this ever-increasing workload. Consequently, we are very pleased to welcome Ann Oldroyd to the team.
Ann brings with her multiple talents and abilities. Whilst Ann is an incredibly skilled Designer, she also has a great deal of knowledge about website coding, making her a huge asset to the team, as we continue to produce more creative, bespoke websites.

How
did you get into Website Design?
My route into professional web design has been a pretty circuitous one. I learnt how to code websites for fun in my early teens, but only really started to do a lot with it in sixth form, when a few school colleagues and I set up a web design company as part of the Young Enterprise scheme. The company was a great success, teaching us a lot about web design and running a business and even making us a tidy profit!
How have you developed this skill?
Although the company reluctantly disbanded at the end of the year, web design continued to be my main hobby and I kept my hand in with the odd freelance job when I went to University of Exeter to study, of all things, archaeology (my second love!). I continued to keep up with the fast-paced world of web design, regularly attending seminars and community events and eventually landed a job with the university as the Web Editor for the archaeology department. This job paid my way through my studies for many years and dramatically improved my skills.
Why did you choose this role at it’seeze?
Following my departure from the university, it looked like the perfect role for me, combining my love of both design and coding work.
What do you hope to bring to it’seeze?
I hope that my expertise with HTML and CSS, the languages used to write a website, will be useful for both the design and development teams here at it’seeze and that my personal design aesthetics will make beautiful, functional websites for many clients
